The Museum, located at the Centro Fiera Montichiari, intends to enhance the ethnographic collection created by the painter Giacomo Bergomi.
The exhibition is divided into two rooms, the permanent and the temporary one: the first runs through the main stages of the traditional cycle of life and year, while the second is intended to host rotating thematic exhibitions. The museum also has an area reserved for educational activities, a projection room with 50 seats and a consultation room with computer stations and a library-media library, open to the public, specializing in museum anthropology, ethnography, local history and teaching of demo-ethno-anthropological heritage.
Visitors can use the large parking area and the refreshment center of the Fair Center. Through the implementation of a specific folkloric research program, the Museum contributes to deepen the scientific knowledge of its heritage and progressively increases it with the acquisition of new material demo-ethno-anthropological goods and with the documentation of tangible cultural testimonies (oral texts, performances of popular music, ritual actions).
